Queensland Museum has engaging exhibitions and resources that can support the teaching of historical knowledge and understanding and historical inquiry skills.

The Egyptian Mummies: Exploring Ancient Lives Exhibition, coming to Queensland Museum from 16 March 2018 – 26 August 2018, will support your teaching of the History curriculum. This exhibition explores how CT scanning technology has been used to gain insight into the lives and deaths of six individuals who lived in Egypt between 3000 and 1800 years ago.

Teachers are invited to join us after-hours, for this unique Professional Development event. During the evening, Learning and Curatorial staff will offer insight into museum services, practices and the exhibition experience. This will be followed by an exclusive exhibition viewing and opportunity to network and browse the shop for resources. Event includes light refreshments and certified CPD hours.

Participation is free.

To secure your place at this exclusive teacher preview, please book by sending your details to education@qm.qld.gov.au or 3840 7608. We will process your booking within 5 working days.
